Earlier this year, the comedic drama series Ginny and Georgia released a second season for fans to enjoy, and it leaves you hooked.

The show mainly focuses on the lives of a mother and daughter duo, Ginny Miller (played by Antoina Gentry) and Georgia Miller (played by Brianne Howey). Georgia became Ginny’s mother when she was just 15, and the show takes place when Ginny is 15 years old.

Georgia has always had issues when it comes to love, and has always moved around to different places due to her failed relationships. However, they settle in Wellsbury, Massachusetts, and plan to start their new life there.

In the first season, Ginny meets new friends named Maxine (Sara Waisglass), Abby (Katie Duglas), and Norah (Chelsea Clark), and together they form the clique “MANG”. While gaining more friendships at her new school, Ginny’s love life has also expanded. She’s been in a relationship with Hunter (Mason Temple), and Marcus (Felix Mallard), who is Maxine’s brother.

Ever since the Millers moved to Wellsbury, Georgia and the mayor, Paul Randoph (Scott Porter) immediately swoon over each other by their charm. However, despite her pleasing looks, Georgia has a very dark past. Georgia got pregnant with Ginny at a very young age, and her and Ginny’s father split after a few years.

Later in the show, we get a timeline of Georgia’s other relationships, and why they ended. For instance, one of her ex-boyfriends was arrested for robbery, and her most recent husband was killed by Georgia. A majority of the second season is about police and enemies of Georgia trying to expose her and what she has done.

This show is overall a great show, and it really captures the relationship between a mother and daughter throughout their challenging times. Although the acting isn’t exactly perfect, it’s still very binge-worthy.
