The wait is finally over for all 5 Seconds of Summer Fans, as the band has officially announced their fifth studio album and track list.  The fifth album will be called 5SOS5 (yes that is actually what they named it, and it fits the bands personally VERY well), and is going to be released on September 23, 2022.

Prior to the announcement of their new album, the band announced a new song “Me Myself & I” that was released this past Wednesday. The song talks about leaving a relationship, and actually being by yourself for the first time, and going on with life, broken hearted and alone. It sounds like a very depressing song, but trust me, it is not.  The lyrics are extremely well written, and I could see it as being the next song of the summer.

However, the band also released the tracklist for 5SOS5.  Having 19 different songs, the drummer, Ashton Irwin, has talked about how a lot of the new songs are going to be ansty-breakup-anthums, but also songs that have reflected where the band has come from and where they are now.

The fans are ecstatic, as their last studio album CALM came out in March of 2020.  The tracklist includes the three songs that have already been released (Complete Mess, Take My Hand, and Me Myself & I), and 16 other, unreleased songs, such as Best Friends, Easy For You To Say, You Don’t Go To Parties, and more.

You can pre-save or pre-order 5SOS5, which is available on September 23, 2022
